1- BrisStyle's Handmade Heart beats for Qld Flood affected Communities

MONEY RAISED SO FAR: $2505

BrisStyle's

“Handmade Ark”

Flood Appeal

With heartfelt acknowledgment of those fellow Queenslanders who have been affected by the recent floods we have put our crafty goodness towards raising funds, as well as awareness of those in need.

We know that we can't stop the rain from falling but collectively we can certainly help to make a difference by donating much-needed funds to the Premier's Flood Relief Appeal by way of BrisStyle's "Handmade Ark" Flood Appeal”.

Donating is simple and here’s all you need to do to lend a helping hand:

Purchase any item from the participating BrisStyle Etsy Stores and the funds will then be donated to the Premiers Flood Relief Fund .

The participating BrisStyle Etsy stores will be continue to be featured on the BrisStyle Blog where we will also keep you updated with a tally of all funds raised.

So please extend your generosity via our "Handmade Ark" and know that in some way you have made a difference to the flood affected communities in Queensland as well as our BrisStyle Members

STOP PRESS: For all those fellow Etsians throughout Australia and the world you can also join in the handmade love and here's all you need to do:

1) Set up a post with BrisStyle's "Handmade Ark" Flood Appeal in the Title and tag appropriately and the link to this BlogSpot here

2) Leave a comment here with the link to your item

3) When your item is sold then please forward your donations directly to the Premiers Flood Relief Fund ( all details for international donations are there)

4) Then email us at brisstylemarketing@gmail.com so that we can add your donation to our tally.

Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing the flood levels recede and the donations rise over the coming days.

Here's my little contribution:

I've decided to donate my Jan sales proceeds (at my eBay store) to the flood appeal.

Fingers crossed the worst will soon be over, so those affected can start rebuilding their lives.

Honey Drops said...

Hi All.
I so wanted to do something like this, but didn't know how to go about it, let alone, unfortunately, probably only having such a small impact. This is very generous of everyone & very comforting to know that so many care. I live in Gracemere in Central Queensland, just outside of Rockhampton, I'm very fortunate that my little town was one of the few that wasn't drastically hit with flood waters.

That said, I'd like to donate all January sale's amounts from my stores:- www.honeydrops.etsy.com & also my little Craftumi Store, www.craftumi.com.au/honeydrops

Helen said...

Thank you so much Suki, Rajan and Honey Drops - your generosity and that of the entire handmade community has been amazing! Etsy too have been awesome and it's times like these that we realise just how close we all are .

Thank you once again and if you can send your donation receipts through to : brisstylemarketing@gmail.com then we can update the details as soon as items are sold.
