Learn

Now is
the time to start knitting your very first pair of socks to keep your toes
toasty this winter!
During three classes you will learn how to knit a pair of beautiful socks from Derrin's Learn to Knits Socks pattern. Cost
$75.00 per person (3
week course)
plus supplies (available to purchase in store) Requirements Please note that this is an intermediate course. Prior knowledge of how to knit in the round comfortably is required. Most knitters find that with practice this speeds up their knitting time greatly, especially for long stretches of stockinette stitch or for moss / ribbing. During the two classes you will learn one method of the knit stitch and two different methods of the purl stitch plus how to combine the two. Cost

Saturday
19th January 1pm -
3pm
One of my favourite little
gifts is adapted from Lucy's
How-To Hexagon motif - sweet little felted coasters from our Noro
Kureyon.
One ball yields between five and six coasters, depending on your gauge - making a perfect set to give.
(although they are so
useful, you might need to make a few for yourself too!)
This class will help you to master the hexagon motif and to take the
mystery out of felted objects.
Please
note, you need to have basic crochet skills to attend this course.
Class Cost
$45 per person plus supplies (includes one ball of Noro Kureyon)
Requirements
5.00mm crochet hook darning needle
Entrelac
Saturday
12th January 1pm -
3pm
Sunday 20th January 12noon - 2pm
Thursday 31st
January 6pm -
8pm
When Derrin was working on
this beautiful Entrelac Blanket last year it caused a great deal of buzz...and
how could it not! It is simply stunning!!
Entrelac, like many knitting techniques looks much trickier than it actually is. During this two hour class you will learn how to knit Entrelac and find out all the tips, hints and tricks. You will create a small sampler piece that you can turn into a cushion cover, a small pouch (perhaps for an iPad) or continue knitting to make a wonderful scarf. (Depending on the number of stitches you cast on) Please note, you need to have basic knitting skills to attend this course. Class cost $30 per person plus supplies Requirements Our Noro yarns were just made for Entrelac... You will need to select your needle size according to the weight of Noro you choose We have also added two Learn to Knit Socks courses to the calendar - one series of Cuff Down and one series of Toe Up plus Anita's fantastic Continental Knitting course! You can find our full class calendar on our website or click here.
