The Reincarnated Kimono Project

A sneak peek of "Reincarnated Geisha" by Samantha Gilkes of Jetta's Nest

BrisStylette Melanie of Kimono Reincarnate has curated a beautiful exhibition 'The Kimono Reincarnated Project' featuring two kimonos and fifteen artists.

A sneak peek of "Impermanence" by Kate Allan of Dash Robin

The exhibition examines the versatility of vintage fabric, no longer suitable for its original
use, re-purposed and given a new life. Each artist takes a piece of fabric from one of two vintage kimonos and reinterprets it in their own way. Final pieces include mixed media artworks, fashion, softies, jewellery, fabric origami, bags and a quilt.

"Ginger Jar" by Robyn Dixon of Hot Fudge

A number of BrisStyle members have taken part in the exhibition which is being held from 2-31 April at Hanasho, 5/235 Boundary Street, West End.
