Sunshine on a Rainy Day

The heavens may have opened on the BrisStyle Indie Mother and Child Market on Saturday but all the Marketeers brought along their own brand of pink tinged Sunshine to a very rainy day.

Colour, smiles and supportive chatter abounded during set up and in no time our first brave umbrella wielding customers arrived.

We were all nestled in the hall and everyone's stalls were bursting with gorgeous new designs for Mother and Child.

The Australian Cattle Dog and Kelpie Club turned on the bacon, egg and sausage sangers and warmed everyone's hearts with their Devonshire Teas. Bel from Enticing icing and Liddle Apples had everyone sweet on her cupcakes and other sweet treats.

Queen Bee Kerryanne kept court enthralling everyone with the latest news from all the 8-12 year olds from Bambino Bazaar

The rain didn't stop the fabulous team from ABC Learning engaging all the children with their crafty activities.

Even the mini BrisStyle fairy and her friends took to the activities with gusto, colouring in to their heart's content.

We were all wowed by the sublime piano recitals from Sam Morton and Dennis Gibson from Marist College as well as Elizabeth Coomer from St Rita's. When the gorgeous Jess Barklimore took to the stage we were all captivated by her divine voice.  Then Jess and her friends from the St Rita's College Show Choir  got us all in the groove with their showstopping renditions of modern classics.

The Fund-raising activities were in full swing too and the support for the fabulous chicks in pink flowed in. In particular Eliza, Zoe and Gem from A Portrait a Day / WarmSigh opened their generous hearts to raise funds for Chicks and Gem once again had everyone enthralled with her tail wagging.

Thanks Prim and Sandy from chicks for braving the elements and thanks to all the BrisStylette's and customers who have so generously given support to chicks in pink this October.

Even the Red Hat Society gals turned pink for the day and chatted away with lovely local MP Teresa Gambaro.

Our event supporters from the Racecourse Road Business Group Bev, Sarah and Sharon spread the pink love too whilst planning to reschedule the World Record fundraiser. Sadly because of the rain it needed to be postponed so stay tuned for more details on where the World Record is going to be held - excitement!

In the meantime, you can stay in pink mode and take in all the other festivities along Racecourse Rd as well as nabbing some pink BrisStyle fundraising goodies from the ever so generous BrisStylette's donating a % pf their proceeds to chicks in pink.

Once again, a BIG Thank You to everyone who made the day come to life - especially those who brought their own ray of sunshine along and braved the weather!

Here's to clear sky's a twinkling for the upcoming

What a gorgeous account of the day. There was a lot of love in the room! Queen Bee was just singing "Colour My World" today for the kids at The Corner at State Library, and this reminded me of the song! It was great to meet everyone! Go BrisStyle!
