Yarn Bomb the BrisStyle Indie Designers Market and WIN!

Get ready to Yarn Bomb the BiDM...and WIN!!!

You loved it on June 1 in King George Square and asked for more... so we're getting set to yarn bomb the BrisStyle indie Designers Market next Saturday.......with a twist!!!

Our resident pom-pom aficionado's Karen Drew and Steph Morris brought King George Square to life with their amazing creations in June, so along with knitted/crochet pieces, we'd love everyone to get winding and create bespoke pom poms to adorn St Augustine's next Saturday, July 14.

Now, yarn bombing is normally an anonymous activity but to celebrate our crafty community we'd love you to add a business card to your pom-pom or piece of knitting so it creates a sense of place and connection.

WHAT
Pieces of knitting or crochet: large enough to be wound around branches and objects. Pop over HERE for a little bit of yarn bombing inspiration.

Woollen pom-poms:  in all different colours and sizes with a loop or a strand from the centre so that they can be suspended from a tree or doorway. Pop over HERE and HERE for some pom-pom inspiration.

HOW
Below is an easy peasy tutorial for a simple woollen pom-pom.

WHEN
Friday July 13: Drop them into St Augustine's Church Hall, Racecourse Road, Hamilton between 6pm and 7pm.

Saturday July 14: Either before 9am or alternatively during the day as you arrive attach them to a random tree / object at St Augustine's which you think might need some loving!

WHERE
To be hung from the trees in the grounds and in the hall.... and any where else we can find to bomb at St A's!

Please RSVP to brisstyleevents@gmail.com by Thursday 12th July so we can get an idea of how many knitted peices and pom-poms we'll have to work with.

Here's to bringing St A's to life all wrapped up in some handmade BrisStylette winter goodness!

This sounds like loads of fun! I can't wait for the market as it has such a community spirit and I feel like we're going back home to our little spot at St Augustin's.
