2013 Saviours of the Lost Arts Opening :: Thank You!

..with the emphasis on felt...and wool, cardboard, zpagetti and all the crafty materials used to bring the 2013 Saviours of the Lost Arts program (SoTLA) to life last Friday night! It was the combined efforts of all who came along to support the night, all who participated and of course the ongoing support from the Brisbane City Council, which made the night such a raving success. Councillor Vicki Howard A Celebration of Brisbane's Creativity At 7pm passionate craft supporter Councillor Vicki Howard, officially opened the 2013 SoTLA program. Councillor Howard eloquently thanked everyone who came along to support the night as well as all the individual guilds and BrisStyle indie Marketeers. Many thanks to Councillor Howard and the Council's Creative Communities department for their initiative and support for SoTLA  Crocheted flowers by Icky Bee A Celebration of Handmade One of the most eclectic mixes of Brisbane's best handmade to date! From the square to the deck all the stalls were brimming with eager stallholders, beautifully made wares and passionate marketeers. Many thanks to all the marketeers for the time put into creating your gorgeous work and curating your stalls!   Heartfelt thanks to all who supported the stallholders by giving new homes to their gorgeous goodies! Chrissy Foreman Cranitch demonstrating the art of mixed media.  A Celebration of Craft The deck was a hive of activity with local guilds and craft groups and indie crafters all demonstrating their craft and engaging lovers of craft of all ages. Many thanks to all the local groups and guilds who helped make the deck come to life by engaging everyone with their stories and skills. Truly, all Saviours of the Lost Arts!
